Apartment

Whoohoo! I got into an apartment! This is a good feeling. There aren't that many great apts/roommate situations out there and there are tons of people looking... I am glad to find this one.

The apt is in the Russian Hill neighborhood -one block from a long string of cafes, shops, boutiques, etc and very close to the great Italian restaurants in North Beach, shopping at Union Square and close to the Marina. It is a nice location and a nice apartment. My roommates are around my age one girl is a lawyer, the other in operations at Banana Republic. It is a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath. I get the full bath -sharing the shower with the other girls and they share the half bath. My bedroom is a nice size -closet is decent for SF but not near what I need :/ Of course my luck that there isn't a dishwasher (coin laundry in basement at least) and the kitchen is tiny (I need elbow room when I cook!). There is also a roof top atrium for the building to share- can see the Golden Gate Bridge. I think the bus ride to work will be about 15 min and then a walk of 3 blocks or so. Brody can't live with me... very hard to find pet friendly rentals so he will hang in Berkeley. I am sad about that but I will see him weekly. My car will probably live in Berkeley too. Parking is tough in this hood and I don't want to pay $300 a month for a spot.

Other than that, work is already going full force- and put in some long/late days already. The client was in town for 2 days of meetings last week and much to do. I like the team here and the office in general is really cool- an old brick slaughter warehouse... have have exposed brick everywhere and just build walls where we need them. We are one block from the SF bay in the middle of a bunch of agencies, architect firms, Levi's headquarters, Pottery Barn HQ and Constellation Wines (distro company).

Inside of my office:

The weather continues to be very nice. Saturday Brody and I went for a hike in Tilden Park which is in Berkeley up in the hills. I wouldn't really call it a park rather than hills, trails, lakes, vistas, etc. Planning on another one this weekend.
